BHP informó este martes que alcanzó un acuerdo con el fondo de capital privado EMR Capital para venderle la operación minera de cobre Cerro Colorado.
Según los términos del acuerdo, el pago total en efectivo consiste en US$230 millones a ser pagados a BHP después del cierre de la transacción (sujeto a los ajustes habituales), más aproximadamente US$40 millones producto de la venta de inventario de cobre después del cierre y un pago contingente de hasta US$50 millones a ser pagados en el futuro, dependiendo del desempeño del precio del cobre.
La venta está sujeta al financiamiento y condiciones de cierre habituales y se espera que finalice durante el último trimestre del año calendario 2018.
“BHP y EMR tienen el compromiso de trabajar juntos para facilitar una transición fluida de la propiedad”, señaló la compañía.
Cerro Colorado está ubicada en el Desierto de Atacama en el Norte de Chile y es una de las dos operaciones mineras de cobre de la división Pampa Norte. En el año fiscal 2017 Cerro Colorado produjo 65.000 toneladas de cátodos de cobre.

I have work in a variety of sectors including in Astronomy (ALMA Astronomy in Chile), Plant Industry and Mining Area (Coal, Copper, Gold and Platinum mining) in South Africa. I believe in following standards that are set in place for all to work and keeping the working area safe and clean for all. I am always willing to learn more and help in different fields, as working together contributes to team building and makes the work environment better for all workers. My ability to perform in the Plant Maintenance field Preventive/Corrective and Predictive and in construction is based on proven electrical skills and experience, mechanical aptitude and understanding and also construction phases and methods. I do have Low Voltage and High Voltage experience up to 23Kv, Substations, Switchgears, Transformers, Overhead cranes, PLC Siemens on conveyers and Plant Maintenance.
I possess hands-on Supervisor style skills to lead teams to do their work safely and according to standards. I operate very well under extreme pressure, difficult conditions, and austere environments.
